Ycares Financial Assistance Program

With a commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Raritan Bay Area YMCA ensures every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow, and thrive. We welcome all who wish to participate and believe no one should be denied access to the Y based on their ability to pay. The YCARES scholarships provide assistance on a sliding scale to youth, adults, and families based on individual needs and circumstances.

Determining assistance amounts is handled fairly and consistently. Every YMCA member receives the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they receive a scholarship. YMCA members can feel confident knowing they are part of an organization that cares greatly for the well-being of all people and is committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

YCARES is funded through the generosity of our members, volunteers, and community donors. 

How to Apply:

CLICK HERE to Apply Online! SIMPLE & EASY! In order to make a reasonable and consistent determination of assistance, the Y will utilize a third-party data aggregator that analyzes 100s of data sources to build an estimated household income for over 300 million people. It's an easy way for us to quickly qualify people and will not affect your credit score.  If we are unable to verify your household income, we will ask that you provide income documentation to be qualified through our standard process. All information provided will be kept confidential.
