175 Years Strong
In 2026, YMCAs across the country celebrate 175 years of strengthening communities as places where people learn, grow, connect, and belong. Since 1850, the Y has responded to community needs with compassion and innovation—from supporting soldiers and welcoming immigrants to creating programs like swim lessons, sports, and childcare. Today, as loneliness and disconnection rise, the Y continues to build meaningful connections and a sense of belonging for all.
