FREE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL
The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center* (21st CCLC)- Building Beyond Barriers (B3) program provides a varied after school experience for middle school and high school students in Perth Amboy schools.
The B3 program is offered Monday through Friday at the following Perth Amboy schools:
- William C. McGinnis Middle School
- Samuel E. Shull Middle School
- Perth Amboy High School- Freshman Academy
Receive academic support like homework assistance and tutoring. Participate in a variety of clubs and activities like photography, culinary arts, science, technology, music, and more!

WEATHER CLUB
The B3 Weather Club comprised of middle school students, uses model data to make local forecasts for the Perth Amboy area. After obtaining a basic understanding of weather and weather forecasting, participants will collaborate among themselves and the instructor in order to create a daily/weekly weather forecast, through researching and analyzing the ever-changing daily model output data.
