Building Beyond Barriers (B3)
The 21st Century Community Learning Center* (21st CCLC)- Building Beyond Barriers (B3) program provides a varied afterschool experience for middle school and high school students in Perth Amboy schools.
The B3 program is offered Monday through Friday to students that attend William C. McGinnis School, Samuel E Shull School, and the Perth Amboy High School at South Campus. The program affords participants with opportunities to receive academic support, homework assistance, and tutoring. Additionally, participants choose which enrichment activities they will participate in for the six week class cycles. Enrichment activities range from photography, culinary arts, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to weather club, where students learn how to develop a weather forecast.
We at the Y, are delighted to offer this program to families, at no cost. It is truly an amazing opportunity for youth and the entire Perth Amboy community.
